Summary
Brief Description of Job:
Inspectors are responsible for determining the airworthiness of work assigned to them. Inspectors must be thoroughly familiar will all inspection methods, techniques, processes and equipment used in their specialty to determine the quality of airworthiness being maintained. Quality Control Inspectors must be thoroughly familiar with applicable regulations and must be an appropriately rated A&P Technician.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two-years heavy jet maintenance experience. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills required. Must possess a current and active FAA A&P license.
Duties / Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring that all works is performed in accordance with customer work instructions or other acceptable data, FAAA regulations, and AAR policies and procedures.
Ensuring all work is documented in accordance with customer work instructions and procedures and AAR policies and procedures.
Performing and recording all inspections as required.
Providing guidance and recommendations to technicians to ensure timely accomplishment of customer work, and bringing to the attention of the Manager of Quality Control any irregularities in the standards or practices used that could cause injury to personnel or make the aircraft unsafe.
Inspecting parts and materials purchased for use to ensure they meet the appropriate specifications and standards.
Ensuring that components undergoing repair or overhaul are verified against current Repair Station Capability lists.
Ensuring that approved data is used for all repairs and rework on aircraft components.
Ensuring that a high standard of workmanship is maintained and informing the Manager of Quality Control of faulty equipment and poor, unsafe housekeeping areas.
Signing or stamping the serviceable tag attached to all items when they are declared serviceable and ensuring that the tag is properly made out.
Signing the applicable paperwork prepared for units overhauled, repaired, or functionally tested, and ensuring that all forms are completed correctly.
Completing documentation packages in accordance with AAR and customer procedures.
Carrying out all assigned duties on aircraft inspections and shop work as necessary to ensure maintenance is conducted in a safe and airworthy manner and in accordance with customer and FAA requirements.
Performing other duties as directed or required.
